What We Believe
We gladly affirm the historic biblical Christian faith set forth in the ancient Christian statements of faith (e.g. the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds). This faith is attested to in the foundational documents of Anglicanism (e.g. the Book of Common Prayer).
Our core beliefs are shared with millions of Anglicans and other Christians around the world, and have been summarized in The Jerusalem Declaration of 2008. Some of these central and life-changing truths include:
- the supreme authority of the Bible in all matters of faith and morality
- the Trinity: One God in Three Persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
- the full humanity and divinity of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour and Lord
- salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection for us
- the presence and power of the Holy Spirit for all who believe in Christ
- the second coming of Christ and the reality of eternal life for all those redeemed by Jesus
“Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the Head, into Christ”
-Ephesians 4:15
