Adult Ministries

Get together to learn more about how to know God and grow! Bible studies and life sharing groups open to all are at the church, Wednesday afternoons at 2pm and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm.

See our prayer ministries page for other regular times to gather for prayer and sharing, or try a coffee hour after one of our Sunday morning services to get to know people.

We often have special get togethers, for fun and food and other reasons, like Men’s Breakfasts or Women’s Luncheons or Family & Friends Game Nights. Keep on eye on our announcements page to see what’s coming up!

See below for some of our online ministries to help you keep yourself in God’s love—and even grow!

Bible Study Opportunities in person! On pause now for Advent. Take advantage of these resources instead.

A little series to bring together and hopefully integrate faithfully different passages of Scripture on some different topics we don't often get to time to talk about.

A little series to bring together and hopefully integrate faithfully different passages of Scripture on some different topics we don't often get to time to talk about.

So many things to do or not do, so many ways of doing things! What are we to do when we can't agree? Here's some Words from THE Word on handling conflict so that we're pleasing Jesus. For a list of the passages, see fuller caption under YouTube video.

So many reasons to disagree! But One BIG reason we belong together--so we look to our Lord to help us be His Church, His family and to keep agreeing on what matters most. Scriptures referenced: Romans 14:1 and Hebrews 10:25 strongly, but also Philippians 1:9-11, and Ephesians 4:15-16.

Why are we here? And what is God doing? Pt 2 on this from the Bible: Acts 17:24-31, Colossians 1:15-17, Romans 8:22-23, Hebrews 1:1-3, 2:8-9, Luke 2:34-35, Romans 2:6-11 (it will be through Jesus any are saved and rewarded--John 3:16-21, Revelations 21:26-27, 22:14), Matthew 11:28, John 10:11-14. "God created it"--meaning all that is, not evil! It's from a great kids' ministry phrase: God made it, we messed it, Jesus is fixing it! Amen!

We have and we need the whole counsel of God-the Bible. And Jesus is our Teacher and the ultimate Word and His Spirit guides us. Some of the Bible verses referred to: John 5:39-40, 6:63, 14:6 & 26; 2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11 & 20:27.

Problem of evil. Big picture background of some of why we and the world are such a mess, from Genesis (surprise!) chapters 1-3, Jeremiah 29:13, John 7:16-17, 2 Peter 2:19, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Romans 8:28-30, John 14:30, Ephesians 2:1-2, Isaiah 24:20-22, Hebrews 2:8-9 & 12:2 and Revelations 20:7-10 and Jesus! Psalm 10:14: But You, O God, do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; You are the helper of the fatherless!

Grace Bytes with Deacon Jane

Something to help guide you in releasing concerns to God through Jesus Christ and then relaxing so you can better fall asleep and stay asleep! You can play it or just listen to it a few times and then guide yourself through the process when you're ready to sleep. More coming in a sleepy voice to help you fall asleep and stay asleep in Pt. 2. Fine for kids too!

It's so good to have a Saviour to give over our responsibilities and worries to so we can sleep. How are you doing these crazy days? Some things that have helped me, and an audio to fall asleep with will follow!

No children? Or sad, even mad about those relationships? You need some grace! From Hebrews 13:9, 12:15; 1 Samuel 1:8, 10; Galatians 4:19; Luke 1:46-49.

Waiting on God, waiting for God—is anything happening? From 1 Peter 4:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 8:28, Psalm 123:1-2, John 10:4, Isaiah 30:15, 21; Psalm 37:3-4, 7-8, 11; and Galatians 4:19: ‘My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you…’

Sometimes we need to forgive to let the Light in! Jesus said to pray, 'Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us!' (Matthew 6:12) So we can bring to Him those thought worms that keep going round and round, and be freed. Bible verses mentioned: Romans 8:28, 19, 23; Genesis 50:20; Hebrews 2:8-9; John 15:1-5.

Choose joy and hope--it's an act of faith! From Psalm 10:14, 1 Peter 3:14-5, Romans 13:12 & 14, Philippians 4:4.

Rest your life, your heart, your worth on Jesus! From John 6:28-29, Mark 9:24, Philippians 3:12, Hebrews 4:9-11 and 11:1. Sorry for the poor sound quality!

Romans 5:1 says we can stand in grace! Enjoy the salvation Jesus died and rose to win for you.

How do we give over sins and regrets and take in grace? A little time with the Lamb of God. From 1 Peter 1:18, Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22, 1 John 1:2, 2 Timothy 1:7, and ”Behold the lamb of God” John 1:29.

Amazing grace turns our dark times into an honour opportunity. Don't waste the pain! Drawing on Numbers 21:4-9, John 3:14-15, 1 Peter 3:14-15, Ephesians 6:12 & Genesis 50:20 and 2 Corinthians 12:9 and some children's ministry props!

Freedom from sins and hurts from others by forgiving! It's God's tool for us to use to outwit the devil's schemes (2 Corinthians 4:10-11, Matthew 6:12) and it shows in our freedom to love others as God leads (Matthew 18:15-35).

Do you really believe you're accepted? Forgiven and loved? You can! From Matthew 18 and 1 John 1:9.

Ephesians 5:1-2 invites us to live out of God's love! Praying this helps you to hold tightly to His love and let go or just hold loosely lesser things. Other references in case you want them: Ephesians 4:15, 23-24; Isaiah 43:11; 1 Peter 3:14-15.

What are you taking in? Through Jesus, we can take in grace--and smell like Him, the aroma of life!

A love byte! From Jude 20-21.

Encouragement to feed on Jesus--you're not your new self in Christ when you're hungry!

Just a bit of Biblical thought on handwashing and having grace, with a nod to those St Luke's Brunches we're missing!
